Aged for two years in seasoned oak vats which preserve its youthful, fruity character, Six Grapes is bottled relatively young in order to retain its freshness and characteristic opulence. As a result, it offers a lift on the palate, cutting through the smokey notes of a perfectly seared s’more melting into a square of gourmet chocolate. Richer in style than most other Port houses, Six Grapes stands up to the intensity of the sweetness of the caramelized marshmallow and offers a balanced and smooth match of indulgence with the chocolate. A blend of four indigenous Douro grape varieties—aromatic Touriga Franca; rich, tannic and well-structured Touriga Nacional; raspberry tinged Tinta Roriz; and chocolate noted Tinta Barroca. Six Grapes is sourced from the same four vineyards that contribute to Graham’s legendary Vintage Ports. Exuding Graham’s signature Vintage Port style, Six Grapes is full-bodied with rich, opulent black fruit on the palate and fragrant, brambly aromas.


The distinctive six bunches of grapes on the bottle originates from the marks long-used in the Graham's Lodge to classify the quality of the wines in the casks. The six-grapes symbol is Graham's age-old mark of quality, used to identify the very finest wines from the best vineyards, which were destined to make up the Vintage Port or “Six Grapes lots.”
