Many regular Dallas diners will be aware that Dallas College, including El Centro, provides the backbone of the commercial kitchen staffing. As part of their training, El Centro culinary students have to practice running restaurant service. Hence,they provide lunch for the rest of us, weekly on Thursday’s.
The first lunch of spring takes place on February 13th. These are awesome value. Details below.

It is with great pleasure to announce that the Culinary Pastry and Hospitality Department at the El Centro downtown campus, student-run lunch service is open for service starting on Thursday, February 13, 2025. Student Chefs and Maître d’ of the Culinary, Pastry, and Hospitality program will prepare three-course meals and provide a fine dining service experience to the public by reservation.
You are invited to join us for our first lunch service on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 11:30 am. Our first meal feature is Cajun cuisine. Included in our service offering is "To Go" for pick up with a prior reservation.
