Modern Italian concept North Italia announces the launch of a new Pi Day campaign featuring a lineup of 15 specialty pizzas available for a full month at locations nationwide, including Dallas, Plano, San Antonio and Austin! I had a chance to sample them and other dishes at a recent media event.

Beginning on Tuesday, March 14 (Pi Day) and available through Sunday, April 10, North Italia Dallas, Plano, San Antonio and Austin will debut a mouthwatering BBQ Brisket pizza inspired by the popular Texas BBQ brisket sandwich and featuring Dr. Pepper, which originated in Dallas.

This hand-tossed pie ($18) was created by Executive Chef Austin Brown utilizing the restaurant’s fresh, seasonal ingredients including charred onion panna, smoked mozzarella, Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce, jalapeño mostarda and white onion.


LOCAL ALERT! Austin Brown is executive chef in the Dallas location (Uptown)! Not only did he conceive the Texas pizza but he has worked in several other locations of North Italia and is due to open a new one in the low country next month. In other words, he is something of a star!
