Based on an honest-to-goodness homemade recipe from a DQ restaurant owner’s mom, this deliciously hearty dish with tender chicken, scrumptious gravy and fluffy dumplings brings comfort as well as a taste of simpler times.

For the past 13 years, chicken and dumplings have been available through the winter months at participating DQ restaurants in Texas including in North Texas.

“This is one of the most popular items on our menu in Texas during the fall and winter,” said Lou Romanus, CEO of the Texas Dairy Queen Operator’s Council. “It’s a delicious dish that most people don’t expect to find on our menu. We like to offer a variety of options for our fans at participating DQ restaurants in Texas.”

A steamy, savory bowl of our chicken and dumplings come in 12-, 16- and 32-ounce servings and is perfect for dine in, drive-thru and take-out, as well as delivery, where available.
