Wente Vineyards Unveils New Ravel & Stitch Cabernet Sauvignon Packaging!

FROM THE WIRES...

Ravel & Stitch Debuts New Packaging for Central Coast Cabernet Sauvignon

Refreshed Look Highlights The Evolution and Growth of The Wente Family Estates Label

LIVERMORE, Calif. (October 24, 2024) – Wente Family Estates, the country’s longest, continuously family-owned and operated winery, is pleased to unveil a fresh new look for its Ravel & Stitch Cabernet Sauvignon. The new design coincides with the label’s strong growth, as Ravel & Stitch has seen a 22% increase in IRI unit sales year-over-year for the period ending 9/1/24. The 2021 vintage is the first to reflect the new label.

Ravel & Stitch Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted from premier vineyards in California’s Central Coast, an appellation which has experienced a boost in consumer interest in recent years. Under the ongoing guidance of Winemaker Elizabeth Kester, the 2021 vintage upholds the exceptional quality for which Ravel & Stitch is known—the same great wine with a fresh, elevated look.

“We are thrilled to unveil this new packaging for Ravel & Stitch,” said Aly Wente, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Wente Family Estates. “This new look honors the label’s Central Coast heritage while presenting a bold, modern new identity we think will even better resonate with this wine’s growing audience. ‘Ravel’ and ‘Stitch’ represent the shared interests that unite wine lovers together, reflecting our core values of unity and togetherness.”

The packaging marks a significant step for Ravel & Stitch, merging modern elegance with thoughtful design elements rooted in tradition. The label features a bold ‘&’ symbol cradling the ‘RS,’ symbolizing unity and the harmonious coming together of flavors. A delicate red thread, representing the “stitching together” of Central Coast Cabernet’s finest elements, adds a subtle yet impactful detail. Illustrations of native Central Coast flora, designed by artist Annette Brown, frame the logo, adding depth and storytelling that emphasize the brand’s California roots. The back label continues this narrative with a poetic reflection on the brand’s name, encouraging consumers to connect more deeply with the story behind the wine.
