WINE REVIEW: 2018 Inama ‘Vin Soave’ Soave Classico, DOC, Italy ($16)

by Andrew Chalk

Made from 100% old-vine Garganega grown in soil comprised of basaltic lava and trellised in the pergola system. Fermented in stainless steel, full malolactic fermentation. Skin contact for 4-12 hours creates a weight in the mouthfeel. Mineral taste and almonds on the finish.

A very likable wine. Producer recommends it with risotto, raw fish, and salads. I concur.
