WINE REVIEW: Graffigna 2014 ‘Centenario’ Malbec Reserve, Estate Bottled, San Juan, Argentina ($14)

by Andrew Chalk

A very good value for a good-quality wine made from Argentina’s premiere grape.

Appearance: Translucent ruby;

Nose: Concentrated strawberry fruit. Blackberry emerges after a little airing. Herbal notes also present;

Palate: Strawberry fruit, hint of blackberry, round, chewy texture from resolved tannins. Long fruit and wood finish.

Sample.
