WINE REVIEW: Inman Family Wines, 2021 Pinot Gris, Russian River Valley, Sonoma County, CA ($40)

by Andrew Chalk

Continuing our look at lesser known Sonoma wineries, this pinot gris from winemaker Kathleen Inman is a delightful wine for warming summer weather. Quaff it by the pool or pair it with seafood. The acid is high enough to register freshness, but controlled below some cooler climate examples of the grape. That makes this wine easy to enjoy.

Appearance: Light straw;

Nose: White peach, white flowers, mango;

Palate: very rich, ripe mango and peach. Effusive fruit in the mouth;

Sample.
