Kendall Jackson’s tête de cuvée has fruit from Alexander Valley and Knights Valley. The soil is volcanic and rocky being red in Alexander Valley and beige in Knights Valley along the slopes of Mount St. Helena.
Appearance: Opaque, inky, ruby with purple rim;
Nose: Intense, complex nose. Raspberry and black cherry fruit. Dusty notes;
Palate: Fruit gushes through the mouth and velvety tannins express enough depth to indicate long ageing. As a result, this wine can be enjoyed now, or cellared for a decade.
Sample.
