A fine example of what someone means when they talk of the New World style of Chardonnay. Big, ripe, French oak, and tropical fruit very evident. This style, while more confined than the more ‘minerally’ styles of cooler climates, is still very food friendly. Serve with lobster, poultry with rich sauces, pork and veal. White-sauced pasta dishes, likewise.
TASTING NOTES
Appearance: Medium gold;
Nose: Tropical fruit of mango, guava. Also ripe apple and lemon notes. Vanilla, cream soda;
Palate: Rich fruit wraps the tongue. Powerful mouthfeel. Flavors of the tropical fruit noted in the nose, French oak. Ripe fruit but only muted phenolic backbone.
