WINE REVIEW: Ventisquero 2019 Vertice, Apalta Vineyard,

andychalk

Carménère/Syrah, Colchagua Valley, Chile ($34)

by Andrew Chalk

A massively chewy and complicatedly fruity wine that leaves the palate flowing with flavors long after it has been swallowed.

Tim Atwood announced winemaker Felipe Tosso as winemaker of the year.

Tosso collaborated with Australian John Duval (ex Penfolds Grange) for this wine. It is an absolute stunner and one of the best, if not the best, I have tasted this year. Destined to be a classic.
